COLORS. Please note that there will be variations in color from piece to piece as these miniatures go through a reduction gas firing process. Their placement in the kiln determines the glaze result, which is influenced by the atmospheric conditions. For example, blushing (a soft pink or purple area) may occur, which is when a flame touches a piece during the firing process. This is all perfectly normal, and a part of the joy of ceramics.

Celadon - typically fires to a light gray with blue or green hue. Glassy surface. A traditional crackling in the glaze surface may occur, which is a signature trait of celadon and does not affect the integrity of the piece.

Copper Salt - may fire with matte or glossy areas. Variations of grey and pale green throughout. Some areas may seem to glitter in the light.

Green - may fire with matte or glossy areas. Varies greatly throughout the kiln, but is an overall true green color. Specks of white, light green, and even the occasional purple or blue speck may result.

Shino Ash - typically fires to a light or dark gray, with peach, beige, or purple areas. Sometimes these areas may have a dark halo, which is where extra crystallization has occured. Glassy surface. A traditional crackling in the glaze surface may occur, which is a signature trait of shino and does not affect the integrity of the piece.
